However, an engineer and YouTuber from Switzerland recently caused an uproar in the tech community. Because, he managed to convert the Lightning cable on the iPhone X into a USB Type-C with all the features offered by the connector standard.

He had a lot of trouble changing this little connector. Finally, the engineer decided to make a customization daughterboard to be able to do this conversion. The result is very satisfying.

After finishing with this project, he idly conducted an auction of his art. He opened an auction for the device with a tag of USD 1 (approximately Rp. 14 thousand).

Interestingly, he managed to get an offer at a fantastic price, which was around USD86,001 or around Rp1.22 billion, as quoted from The Verge (14/11). Of course, this is not a cheap price.

However, the creator named Pillonel warns that buyers should not expect to use smartphone it’s like any other iPhone X. The creator, Pillonel, said users should not uninstall or update the OS, which could risk damaging the device.
