Mursyid Tarekat Shiddiqiyyah Jombang Kiai Muhammad Muchtar Mu’thi promised to take Moch Subchi Azal Tsani (MSAT) alias Mas Bechi (42), his son, after the inauguration ceremony was over, during the forced pick-up operation last Thursday. But he did not explain what the inauguration ceremony he meant.
Chairman of the Shiddiqiyyah Organization (Orshid) Joko Herwanto, who explained that during the operation to pick up Mas Bechi, last Thursday (7/7/2022), at the Shiddiqiyyah Islamic Boarding School the inauguration of the Central Board of the Brotherhood of Love for the Homeland was taking place.
However, Joko said, Mas Bechi himself was not at Ponpes Majma’al Bachroin Hubbul Wathon Minal Iman Shiddiqiyyah when the inauguration took place, along with the forced pick-up process which was chaotic.
According to Joko, at that time Kiai Muchtar, who is familiarly called Mbah Yai by his followers, also did not know that his son was not in the pesantren.
“Mbah Yai (Kiai Muchtar) did not know that Mas Bechi was not at the boarding school when he gave a statement that he would deliver himself after the inauguration ceremony. I thought Mas Bechi was at his residence,” Joko said during a press conference at the Soekarno-Hatta Street hotel, Peterongan, Jombang. , Saturday (9/7/2022).
At the time of the forced pick-up of Mas Bechi, the police received another rejection from Kiai Muchtar’s top brass. At that time the kiai asked the police not to take his son and promised to take him to the East Java Regional Police himself after the inauguration ceremony.

Kiai Mukhtar said he would accompany his son after the inauguration ceremony.
“Yes, after this event, this inauguration,” replied Kiai Mukhtar.
As if not satisfied, Nurhidayat again asked this to the police.
“Does that mean you will be escorted to the regional police today, Mr. Yai? Mas Bechi?” said Nurhidayat.
“Yes, later. Tell the head of the regional police,” promised Kiai Mukhtar. “There’s still an event today.”
There was an agreement between the two of them. However, until the afternoon, as promised by Kiai Muchtar, Mas Bechi did not appear. Until finally the person concerned gave himself up at 23.00 WIB.
“Mas Bechi was outside the pesantren until evening and only contacted his family at night. Then we took him to the regional police with Mbah Yai and Mrs. Nyai,” he explained.
This means, said Joko, that Kiai Muchtar has kept his promise to the police to take his son himself to the East Java Police Headquarters in Surabaya. Namely after Mas Bechi arrived at Ponpes Shiddiqiyyah Thursday night.
It’s just that the leader of the Shiddiqiyyah Order was not in the same car with his son, who was escorted by the police at that time.
“According to Mbah Yai’s statement, he will personally take his son to the Regional Police and it has been conveyed that we will take him to the Regional Police and Mbah Yai will accompany him behind,” he said.
