This is what a reader asked Plovdiv24.bg. And he continued his story thus:
“A few days ago I had another problem with BDZ. The train from Sofia to Stara Zagora via Plovdiv has a connection in Karlovo. It was supposed to leave Sofia at 1:35 p.m., arrive in Karlovo at 3:45 p.m. and at 3:52 p.m. to leave for Stara Zagora and be in Plovdiv at 5:17 p.m.
Not sure why the train leaving Sofia is 20 minutes late, anyway that’s not the biggest problem. The conductor passed by to check the tickets, she saw that I was going to Plovdiv and told me that she would also call the train to Stara Zagora to warn about the delay.
After some time he came and told me that the train in question to Stara Zagora will not wait for the train from Sofia and the next train from Karlovo to Plovdiv is not until 5:30 pm! That is, me and the other people on the train, who are not at fault, have to stand for more than 1 hour in the cold, waiting for the next train! This is not normal, this has crossed all limits!!!”
