This GTA IV game was created using AI – an impressive ability to resize

The gaming industry is one of those areas where AI has yet to make significant progress (except augmentation). However, this could change soon. Redditor Indiegameplus shared a video showing a revamped version of GTA IV with life-like graphics created using AI puzzles.

The video shows the GTA character traveling around a very real city from a third person perspective. In the first scene, we see a red Ferrari sports car (although the car itself looks normal) on the night streets of the city, surrounded by buildings with LED advertising. The scene then switches to the main character walking down the sidewalk next to an NPC at sunset or sunrise.

A car theft is also shown: the main character runs up to a stopped car, pulls out the driver and steals the car. True, the victim calmly leaves, as if nothing had happened. In the next section, the hero returns to the scene with the NPC, takes out a bat and attacks him.

The video is an AI generated replay of GTA IV. The author claims that the video was created entirely using the latest alpha version of the Gen-3 model from Runway.

Naturally, all this cannot work in real time, but as technology develops, it can be assumed that AI will be able to change old games with modern graphics and high definition.
