MDRS has been an investigation site for 19 years presenting all establishments welcoming the elderly in France (+11,000 establishments visited, referenced and rated). Its annual prize list distinguishes the best establishments… but also those in which we have the most fun.
A hymn
This is the case for residents of Senioriales of Saint-Gilles in the Gard who composed and sang a hymn in a good mood. At the start of 2022, the Senioriales group challenged all its residences to create their new anthem! The result exceeded expectations, and some people obviously enjoyed it.
Already winners
At the end of the votes to designate the big winner, it was the residence of Saint Gilles, located in the Gard between Arles and Nîmes, which won the challenge with a cover of the Aviron Bayonnais song. A first success which did not escape the jury during the MDRS national ranking.
Happy residents
“It’s a project that allowed us to meet again after the covid and above all there was a lot of good humor and benevolence between the participants and they all got involved in the project! explains Marège Boiteux, one of the residents in Saint-Gilles.
A positive light
“In a difficult climate, MDRS now considers that it is urgent to shed positive light on the considerable effort made over the past 18 years in the rehabilitation of structures, as well as on the work carried out by the establishments which work daily to the well-being of residents, families and employees,” comments David Jacquet, director and founder of the MDRS site.
