Work on the future medical centre in Nieul-le-Dolent has progressed well. The town’s elected representatives went visit the construction site.
The entrance will be on the right side of the building, when coming from rue de Lattre. A large open waiting room is set up in the entrance, with the secretary’s office, who can isolate herself by closing a window to keep her telephone conversations confidential.
Overlooking the left corridor, three offices with a half-partition separating the office space from the medical examination space are planned, allowing the simultaneous presence of three doctors.
Along the corridor on the right side, several other offices are built, including two for the five nurses of the municipality, three for speech therapists, and a room shared alternately between a psychologist and a dietician.
All the rooms are used for medical purposes, a heat pump will heat everything. Two new buildings have been built, one in front and one behind the original building; part of it has been broken up to allow access from the parking lot on Calleau Street.
During the city council, the mayor announced that the grant requested from the Feder (European Regional Development Fund) had been obtained, for an amount of 185 000 €.
