But the actorUntouchables had preferred to decline. “The role that was in it was repetitive. It’s something I’ve already played,” he confided in the show Au tableau!, in 2017 on C8. Then to further clarify the reasons for his refusal: “Because I don’t want to arrive on set and be jaded. That is to say to be there as if it were normal. It’s extraordinary to be on a film set and I want to keep this wonder when I’m there. If I start doing the stuff I’ve already done, it’s not going to be great. »

Paris as a setting

We do not know what role Omar Sy would have taken on in this sequel to Fantastic animals, whose action takes place partly in France, in Paris. Why did you choose the French capital as the setting for this new intrigue? “In the first opus, we are in America, where the wizarding world seems quite closed. For this new chapter, I was looking to evolve in a universe where there would be a more direct relationship between magic and everyday life. And in the 1920s, it must have been Paris,” explained author JK Rowling, according to comments reported by Allocinated. The Briton also confided that she had lived in Paris herself and felt “a strong proximity to this city”.
