This was revealed by a famous American plastic surgeon, who warned that running makes people age faster!

In a video that spread like wildfire on TikTok during the past few days, Dr. Gerald Ember (82 years old) said, laughing: “Half of my patients love me for that, and the other half hate me for that.”

While noting that running a little every day and a few miles every other day is a good thing, he asked: “Have you ever seen a long-distance runner who didn’t have an old, gaunt face? That’s what happens.”

He also added that running not only affects facial features, but also causes severe losses in other parts of the body, such as the knees, ankles and back.

But despite all the negative effects running can have on the body, the doctor acknowledged the benefits of exercise by emphasizing his view that – like everything – it should be done in moderation.
