CALIFORNIA, KOMPAS.com – A man named Jesse Martinez (37) killed a fellow patient Covid-19 seems to be using oxygen tube, report BBC, Thursday (24/12/2020).
Martinez became annoyed when the 82-year-old man he shared a room with in the hospital began to pray, according to Los Angeles police, United States of America (AS).
Martinez then allegedly took the oxygen tank and beat the elderly patient. The patient who was beaten died the next day.

Neither Martinez nor the man he killed knew each other. Both were treated for Covid-19 in a room for 2 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California South, USA.
“The suspect became irritated when the victim started praying. He then hit the victim with an oxygen tank,” said a statement from the Los Angeles police department without elaborating on their problem.
“The suspect, 37-year-old Jesse Martinez, was arrested and charged with murder, hate crimes and parental abuse,” the statement read.

California hospitals are struggling to contain the pandemic after the state recorded one million new infections in just six weeks.
More than two million cases of infection have now been confirmed in California since the pandemic began.
The hospital is short of staff and the US has applied for an additional 3,000 medical workers from Australia and Taiwan.

On Monday, California health secretary Dr Mark Ghaly said entire areas may run out of space even in their temporary auxiliary care centers “at the end of the month and early January”.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued stay-at-home orders and closed many nonessential businesses.
On Wednesday, the US reported 228,131 new cases of Covid-19 infection and 3,359 new deaths.
