The incident took place on Sunday during the train journey Bohumin (Czech Republic) – Warszawa Wschodnia.
As reported by RMF FM, the train was traveling along the Central Railway Main Line. At the height of Góra Włodowska, despite the red signal on the semaphore, the train entered the wrong track.
The Intercity train ran in the wrong direction
The train was quickly stopped. There were about 400 passengers on board, but fortunately no one was injured.
As a result of this incident, rail traffic on this part of the route was temporarily suspended. Travelers after about 45 minutes of waiting, they were transferred to another train.
In the end, the disruption in train services on this section lasted for more than three hours, but the situation was brought under control without further problems.
