A new reliable rumor confirms the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and claims that it will have an under-screen camera.
The leak comes through the reputed tweeter @UniverseIce, which has also shared an image of what the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 could look like (on these lines) as well as some more design details, such as that the phone may have a curved screen.
The features are not yet known for sure, which were rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ and a 108MP camera. We also do not yet have a launch date for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
The previous phones in this line always arrived in October, but it has been several years since they launched the Mi Mix 3.
What is an invisible selfie camera?
The invisible selfie camera is a camera placed under the OLED panel. It does not require a hole or notch because it has a mechanism that allows you to see through the display circuitry.
However, so far this concept has been a bit disappointing. The ZTE Axon 20 5G has one and the main problem is that the image quality suffers quite a bit. It is difficult to take a photo through a screen and no company has yet achieved it with the same clarity as a normal photo.
However, it seems that both Samsung and Xiaomi are seriously working on it, at least according to the leaks. It is to be expected that both companies will not launch with a half-cooked feature and that the quality of the camera will equal or, at least, approach that of current selfie cameras.
