The job cuts have already been announced by: the MAN company, the Velux window manufacturer, the ceramic tile manufacturer Cerrad, Kross bicycle manufacturer, the Swedish chain H&M, the Polish branch of Shopee and the rolling bearing factory in Kraśnik. The next few months could be challenging for many employees. The energy crisis and the slowdown in construction will have far-reaching consequences. But not all industries are bad. We have selected the five most important.
People planning to pursue a career in IT shouldn’t worry about the job. Especially computer security experts and programmers. – The demand for IT specialists is growing due to the increasing use of modern technologies. Companies are also still ready to acquire new employees, which is clearly visible in the turnover scale of programmers, which is one of the highest among professional groups. 1/4 of employees in this specialization change employers within six months, notes Randstad Polska spokesman Mateusz Żydek.
According to estimates by the European Commission, more than 600,000 jobs are missing in the European Union. programmers. In Poland, staff shortages amount to around 50,000. The global shortage of cybersecurity specialists is estimated to be nearly 3 million!
2. Data Analysts
Data analysts can be calm about the job. – The effort to maximize profits in the most difficult economic conditions forces companies to extensively process and analyze data, on the basis of which the best indications are set for the development of corporate strategy, products and services. As a result, employers show a growing demand for data analysts, data engineers and experts working as Data Scientists – notes Agnieszka Kolenda, Executive Director of Hays Poland.
In the IT sector, he adds data analysis and engineering it is a specialization that is gaining importance very quickly. “The dynamic growth of demand with an insufficient supply of candidates makes recruiting for this type of position a challenge for companies,” says the expert.
3. Financial/Business Controllers, Accountants
In the finance and accounting sector financial/corporate or accounting controllers should not be afraid of the coming crisis. Quick access to data and the ability to present it legibly will be an especially sought-after skill. – Access to clear management information and a recommendation supported by the right numbers will always be desirable even in the business world. The volatile macroeconomic situation and the high dynamics of the markets will further strengthen these profiles on the market. It can also enter the new year calmly Tax accountant, i.e. an accountant with a strong tax background. The borderline profiles of tax and accounting consultancy will continue to attract great interest, believes Artur Skiba, chairman of the board of directors of Antal.
The period of economic downturn is usually favorable for experts in the field of finance, who specialize in data analysis, business model building and financial planning. – Many job vacancies financial and business analysts and control specialists. 4. Drivers
The labor market still sees a strong demand for drivers. – The huge demand for drivers with simultaneous shortages in these professional groups can be seen most clearly on the example of the difficulties faced by public transport companies. Some of them have even reduced their bus schedules this year – says Mateusz Żydek, spokesman for Randstad Polska.
Drivers are the group who have changed employers most recently, as indicated by 41% of respondents. interviewed for the latest Randstad Labor Market Monitor. This is due to staff shortages in forwarding and courier companies, the logistics industry and the tourism sector. – Larger companies fight effectively for candidates, still outselling competitors with higher salaries and this trend is not weakening, despite the economic slowdown – notes Randstad’s Mateusz Żydek.

– It is already visible that experienced traders are searched for more often than a few months ago. In the number of posted vacancies available through us, they have been promoted to one of the most coveted job categories. However, the current situation will more often create prospects for experienced and qualified sellers, preferably also specialized in specific sectors and areas, than for beginners taking their first steps in selling. Companies are especially looking for people who, in addition to sales skills, also have technical knowledgebecause very often it is the developing technical industry, linked to e.g. with process automation, he is looking for effective salespeople – says Mateusz Żydek from Randstad.
