This Changes to PPKM Rules Inside and Outside Java-Bali

The government extends the application of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) to deal with the Corona virus (COVID-19). Some rules and conditions have been changed according to developments.

Extension PPKM regulated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs number 10 of 2022 for PPKM Java-Bali. While PPKM Outside Java-Bali was made in the Ministry of Home Affairs number 11 of 2022.

PPKM in Java-Bali will take place from 15 to 21 February 2022, while outside Java-Bali it will last until 28 February 2022.

“This change is made by looking at the development of existing cases and the level of vaccinations that have been carried out by the regional government,” said Director General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal ZA, in his statement, Monday (15/2/2022).

In his statement, Safrizal explained the changes to the rules from the previous PPKM. Here are the changes.

A. For the implementation of PPKM in the Java-Bali region, there have been several changes including:

1. The number of regions with PPKM Level 3 status has increased from 41 regions to 66 regions, as well as regional status on PPKM Level 2 from 57 regions to 58 regions. Meanwhile, for regions with PPKM Level 1 status, there has been a decrease from 30 regions to 4 regions.

2. Indicators for evaluating areas in Java and Bali are given specifically to be able to achieve the target of second dose vaccination and the elderly over 60 years, given an additional 2 weeks starting from February 15, 2022.
