Rumors have been circulating for some time about what really is the cause of the bad climate between Duchess Meghan and Duchess Kate.
In Prince Harry’s new autobiography “Spare” there is apparently an explanation for the bad relationship between the sisters-in-law.

– He cried when he tried it
According to Prince Harry, there was drama before his wedding in 2018. It all started with a text message sent to Meghan.
– Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long and too loose. She cried when she tried it on at home, Kate Middleton is said to have written about her dress that her daughter Charlotte allegedly wore to Meghan and Harry’s wedding.
The dress had to be tailored to fit the then three-year-old Charlotte’s body measurements.

– I told you the tailor is ready from 8.00 here at Kensington Palace. Can’t you get Charlotte to change him like other mothers do? Duchess Meghan is said to have responded.
Subsequently, the text exchange continued, with Kate criticizing all of the bridesmaids’ dresses, saying they should all be redone rather than fix Charlotte’s dress.
Kate finally agreed to have her daughter’s dress repaired, but text messages between sisters-in-law left Meghan broken and crying on the floor four days before her wedding, says Prince Harry.
In the past, both pantyhose and an argument about bridesmaids’ dresses have been mentioned in rumors about why Meghan and Kate aren’t friends.
It was rumored, however, that it was Meghan who made Kate cry.

– It really hurt me
During the “Oprah with Meghan and Harry” interview, which aired in March 2021, Meghan opened up about the wedding dress incident.
– Did you make Kate cry?
– No, actually it was the other way around. It’s been a very tough week around the wedding. Kate was upset about something, but she admitted it and apologized afterward. She brought flowers and took responsibility for what she had done. She did what I would have done if I had hurt anyone. You said in the interview.
It also emerged that other rumors had spread in the press, six months later.
– What was shocking was that six or seven months after the wedding, the opposite of the incident spread around the world.
– A few days before the wedding, she was upset about the wedding dresses. She made me cry and it really hurt.
