Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – World oil prices have gradually decreased since last August 2022. Indeed, the price has now weakened and dropped below $ 100 a barrel. Therefore, a number of commercial entities distributing fuel oil (BBM) have lowered the selling price of fuel, notably unsubsidized, since September 1, 2022.
On Thursday (9/22/2022) the price of Brent crude oil was recorded at US $ 90.46 per barrel, up 0.7% from the previous closing price. Meanwhile, Light Sweet or West Texas Intermediate (WTI) traded at USD 83.25 per barrel, up 0.66%.

On 1 September 2022, PT Pertamina (Persero) and Shell Indonesia adjusted the price of unsubsidized fuel. At least three unsubsidized fuel types sold by Pertamina have experienced a drop in prices, namely Pertamax Turbo (RON 98), Dexlite and Pertamina Dex.
The price of Pertamax Turbo fuel (RON 98) has dropped from Rp. 17,900 to Rp. 15,900 per liter, while Dexlite decreased from Rp. 17,800 per liter at Rp. 17,100 per liter. Meanwhile, Pertamina Dex from the original Rp 18,900 per liter to Rp 17,400 per liter.
But unfortunately, for Pertamax (RON 92), the price increased on September 3, 2022 from Rp 14,500 per liter from Rp 12,500 per liter. The reason is that Pertamax’s selling price is still below its cheap price. Even after being relaunched, it is still said to be below the cheap price and cheaper than its competitors.
Most recently, last week, BP-AKR again lowered the selling price of its fuel.
As of September 14, 2022, the BP 90 (RON 90) or Pertalite class has a price of Rp. 14,890 per liter, down from the previous Rp. 15,320 per liter. While the price of the BP 92 is priced at Rp. 14,990 per liter, down from the previous Rp. 15,420 per liter.
So, is there a possibility that Pertamina’s fuel prices will also drop like BP-AKR did?
State Enterprise Minister (BUMN) Erick Thohir also briefly revealed that there is an opportunity for the price of Pertamax fuel (RON 92) to be re-adjusted or even lowered.
This is because oil prices fluctuate.
“It is possible (to go down), true, if today the price of crude oil is 95 dollars a barrel. If the price of oil is 75 dollars or 65 dollars a barrel, thank God. Yes, the price of Pertamax fuel will go down, “he said at the time, after meeting with” Serasehan 100 Indonesian Economists “at Bank Mega Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/9/2022).
PT Pertamina Company Secretary Patra Niaga Irto Ginting revealed that the company continues to conduct regular price reviews so that the selling price of unsubsidized fuel can rise or fall.
“We are still reviewing it regularly. It is floating, it can go up and it can go down,” said Irto.

- Pertamax Turbo: IDR 15.900 per liter.
- Pertamina Dex: IDR 17,400 per liter.
- Dexlite CN 51: IDR 17.100 per liter.
- Pertamax: IDR 14,500 per liter.
- Pertalite: IDR 10,000 per liter.
- Solar subsidy: 6,800 IDR per liter.
2. Shell (effective September 1, 2022):
- Shell Super RON 92: Rp 15,420-15,750 per liter.
- Shell V-Power RON 95: Rp 16,130-16,470 per liter.
- Shell V-Power Diesel CN 51: Rp 18,310 per liter.
- Shell V-Power Nitro + RON 98: Rp 16,150 per liter.
3. Alive (effective from 5 September 2022):
- Revvo 89 Rp 10.900 per liter.
- Revvo 92 Rp 15,400 per liter.
- Revvo 95 Rp 16.100 per liter.
4. BP-AKR (effective from 14 September 2022):
- BP 90: Rp 14,890 per liter.
- BP 92: Rp 14,990 per liter.
- BP 95: Rp 16,130 per liter.
