Berlin – School starts again on Monday. But at the end of the Christmas holidays, Omikron, the new variant of the coronavirus, is helping to shape the public debate. Unlike a year ago, however, there are no school closings, no distance learning is planned, for those responsible for education, the keyword attendance – and the analogue one – guides the preparation for school operations. This was underscored not least by the conference of ministers of education at the beginning of December. With its decision, the KMK agreed that face-to-face teaching had “top priority”.
