Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok… That social media is harmful to mental health is becoming increasingly clear. But it’s still shocking that the app you probably spend the most time on turns out to be the most dangerous.

For an examination of the UK Royal Society for Public Health researchers surveyed nearly 1,500 people between the ages of 14 and 23 about their experiences with Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and how these platforms affect their mental health. This has shown that Instagram has the most depressing effect, especially on young women.
The photo app is one of the most popular apps at the moment and is mainly used among the younger part of the population. The app empowers people to filter out all the imperfections of others and their lives, leaving them scared, depressed, alone and unfulfilled. Although many know it, it remains a shocking result. The test has shown that YouTube is the best social media channel for your mental health.
