A fan of The Lion King, this little girl had an idea that was as funny as it was morbid for her birthday cake. Actor, screenwriter and producer Casey Feigh shared, in May 2021, on his Instagram account, a photo of the cake made for the third birthday of his niece, Leona.
That day, the little girl obviously wanted Simba and his father Mufasa, main characters from The Lion King, to be represented and to be edible to be eaten by the guests. But instead of asking for a smiling and loving father-son duo like many children would have done, Leona made a completely different choice. The little girl wanted us to reproduce Mufasa’s death scene with Simba watching his father succumb from the edge of the cake. A scene that traumatized millions of children around the world but obviously not Leona…
A deliberate choice by Leona, 3 years old
The reason for this morbid scenography chosen by the little girl? Casey Feigh explains it in the caption of her Instagram post. “My niece turned 3 today!! She asked for a Lion King cake, but specifically the one from when Mufasa dies, because ‘everyone will be too sad to eat the cake and that will be it for me’“explains the actor and director. “You already understand life. I can’t wait to see what else you teach me”adds the star. In the comments, some users welcome this choice on Leona’s part. “This girl has a future”estimates, for example, one of Casey Feigh’s 4,000 subscribers.
