(ANSA) – TURIN, APRIL 17 – The Carabinieri are working at the moment to give a face and a name to the rapist who raped a thirty-year-old woman in Turin a few evenings ago in the entrance hall of a building. The victim, a homeless woman originally from a municipality in the north-eastern area of the Piedmontese capital, had been rescued by a man who had seen her collapsed on the ground in tears, near a bus stop, in Corso Racconigi, in the San district. Paolo, which is located not very far from the city center. “They raped me, help me”, the woman said, as reported by some newspapers this morning, to the passer-by who immediately called 112. In addition to the health workers, patrols from the Carabinieri mobile unit arrived on site. The woman was accompanied to the Sant’Anna hospital where she underwent clinical tests before being discharged. As soon as she left the hospital, the soldiers of the Mirafiori station collected her complaint. According to the victim’s story, a robust, middle-aged man pushed her forcefully into the entrance hall and was subjected to violence. From initial investigations none of the residents heard any screams. But from the woman’s story, the man had covered her mouth with his hand during the rape. The investigations do not even exclude the woman’s acquaintances, who were interviewed again. The thirty-year-old claimed to the investigators, coordinated by the public prosecutor Cesare Parodi, that she had never seen her attacker. (HANDLE).
