Civil protection chooses the Continental. The Manager: We will only host negatives

UDINE. It will be the Best Western Hotel Continental in viale Tricesimo, the accommodation facility in Udine chosen by the Civil Protection to give hospitality to people in quarantine after close contact with a positive or discharged from hospitals without the possibility of isolating themselves at home.
The structure will provide 30 rooms, as confirmed by the general manager of the group to which the hotel refers, Davide Midena. “We will not become a Covid hotel, as we will give hospitality to negatives, not positives to the virus – assures Midena -. In this emergency phase we felt obliged to make a part of our structure available, pursuing that corporate social responsibility that has always inspired us. It is no coincidence that some time ago, in a hotel of the same level as the Continental, we gave 100 overnight stays to the health workers involved in the first phase of the emergency ».
Half of the hotel will continue to operate normally, the other half will be available to those who cannot spend the period of sanitary isolation at home. «We are ready to begin – adds Midena -, we await the date from Civil Protection and the Health Authority, which have already carried out an inspection. We will need a few days’ notice to prepare the final details. We are happy – Midena closes – to have made this choice ».
