Thirty people stay overnight in Ikea during snow storm

Up to 30 centimeters of snow fell in the Danish province of North Jutland. Several roads were closed and public transport had to be shut down. It was therefore recommended to stay indoors. But some customers and employees of Ikea in Aalborg were still in the furniture store and were literally snowed in. Yet it was a special evening for many. Because they couldn’t go home, they had to spend the night in the Ikea store.

They were all offered a meal and tried to make the most of it. Footage from local media shows them playing a card game and watching TV in the store. Then they were allowed to choose a bed from the showroom.
