Thirty-five cars seized were without insurance: operation by the traffic police

In recent days the traffic police patrols carried out a maxi operation aimed at verifying the existence of insurance coverage and the inspection of vehicles which led to the seizure of 35 vehicles because they were circulating without insurance for civil liability, therefore deprived of the possibility to “compensate” for damages or injuries caused by road accidents.

The “Street Control” equipment was also used in the operation, which allows real-time control of the insurance coverage and inspection of all vehicles in transit. The high-impact operation was carried out throughout the provincial territory, including inhabited centres, and the crews identified 128 people, checked 118 vehicles for transporting goods
and people and contested 84 sanctions for lack of vehicle inspection. Please remember that the inspection serves as a systematic check on the health of the vehicle, identifying potential problems before they can turn into serious faults or, even worse, cause road accidents.

This specific contrast and repression activity implemented by the traffic police aims to maintain high, in the collective sensitivity of drivers, that perception of particular incisiveness implemented by the control bodies, against all those behaviors while driving vehicles considered particularly serious for the company, such as circulars without insurance or without having had their vehicle inspected. Please remember that those who drive a vehicle without insurance, in addition to having to pay from 866 euros to 3,464.00, also have their vehicle seized and 5 points deducted from their driving license.
