Hugo Maradona, like his more famous sibling, was a footballer. He was even a junior representative and a participant in the Under-16 World Championships, but in other categories he did not make it to the national team.
In Europe, however, he worked in Rapid, Vienna, Ascoli and Vallecan, and in the 1990s, he gained a stronger foothold in Japan.
After a playing career, he worked briefly as a coach in Puerto Rico, then returned to Europe and worked in youth and amateur clubs in the Naples area. He also died in Italy.
Diego Maradona played for Naples from 1984 to 1991, winning two titles with her and the UEFA Cup and becoming a club legend. He also worked in Boca juniors, Barcelona and Seville, then went on to coach. The 1986 world champion, suffering from a health problem, died of cardiac arrest on November 25, 2020, one month after his 60th birthday.
