In Argentina, the use of medical cannabis has been increasingly recognized and regulated, primarily due to the implementation of law 27,350. This law created a new legal framework to carry out scientific research and to import cannabis products, initially for epilepsy patients [2[2[2[2].The law has facilitated the study and submission of cannabis in medical contexts, promoting the responsible and grounded use of cannabis in medical practice. This includes the growth of specialized diplomas and courses, such as the one offered by La Ama,which is conducted online from March to August. This diploma features 18 teachers from various specialties, covering a wide range of topics including the botany of the plant, the endocannabinoid system, palliative care, neurology, mental health, and more [3[3[3[3].
The diploma program at La Ama aims to provide thorough education on cannabis, starting with an introduction to the Cannabis Sativa plant and its ancient context, followed by regulatory frameworks including Law 27,350. The curriculum includes practical workshops and lectures from experts in various medical fields, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of medical cannabis.
