Third suspect in investigation of the Auxiliary Forces Alliance Foundation free | Inland

Entrepreneur Sywert van Lienden was already sent off on Wednesday, along with a second suspect. The investigation continues.

The three were arrested because of the controversial face mask deal from the Auxiliary Troops Alliance, which they founded. Last Monday it was announced that the Public Prosecution Service has started a criminal investigation in response to a report from the temporary employment group Randstad. That supplied staff to Auxiliary Forces Alliance because it was thought that it was for charity.

However, it later turned out that Van Lienden and the other (former) directors had set up a private company that was used in the purchase and sale of face masks. As a result, he and the other founders would have earned millions from the mouth mask deal they concluded with the Ministry of Health.
