Third Sinkhole Reopens Near Tampa: Unsolved Mystery in Seffner

Ten years after the first time, a 6-meter sinkhole reopened near the city of Tampa (Florida), on the west coast of the United States. This is the third time.

An unsolved mystery. For the third time in ten years, a sinkhole reappeared in Seffner, near Tampa (United States, Florida), without causing any major damage.

This sinkhole, also called a sinkhole, is 6 meters wide and formed on July 10, behind a fence, according to Hillsborough County authorities. For the moment, the accommodation located nearby is not in danger.

A hole had already formed in the same place in 2013, causing the death of a 37-year-old man, Jeff Bush, swept away by the collapse while he slept. His body has never been found.

Five other people living in the same house managed to escape in time. Their home and two other nearby properties had to be demolished and a fence was then installed.

However, the sinkhole reappeared two years later, in 2015. It was filled with a mixture of water and gravel.

Since July 17, local authorities have been filling the hole again to fill it.
