Third round of wages in the Hamburg security industry begins

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Employers and the Verdi union will go into the third round of collective bargaining in the Hamburg security industry on Thursday (11 a.m.). So far, the positions of the parties are still far apart. According to its own information, the Federal Association of the Security Industry has offered increases of 1.9 percent for all wage groups on March 1 and another 2.4 percent on March 1, 2022. That is not enough for the Verdi union for the 9200 employees in the industry in Hamburg. It charges 1.25 euros more per hour – instead of 45 cents more per hour in 24 months. The third round of negotiations was originally supposed to take place at the end of January, but Verdi canceled it at short notice for “technical reasons”.
