The Ostend Film Festival is currently taking place. This weekend the Ensors, the Flemish film prizes, will be awarded there. Today, such a first Ensor was awarded to the cinema film ‘Nachtwacht 3: The Day of the Blood Moon’. It was awarded the Ensor Box Office Award, for the Flemish film that sold the most cinema tickets. Until now, like 120,000 people went to see the film.

The print premiered on December 11, 2021. Just like in the series of the same name, Giovanni Kemper, Céline Verbeeck and Louis Thyssen play the leading roles.

At the end of January we already wrote that the ‘Night Watch’ film had welcomed its 100,000th visitor. And that in a period when the film industry is still recovering after a difficult corona period. ‘Sinterklaas and King Kabberdas’ and ‘8ERAF!’ then completed the top 3 of best-grossing Flemish films.
