Third dose: sixteen vaccination centers still open in Seine-Saint-Denis

At the beginning of October, nearly half of the vaccination centers installed throughout the department closed their doors, the “vaccination strategy” of the prefecture aiming to rest the rest of the campaign on doctors and pharmacists.

Sixteen centers remained open and some experienced a slight resumption of their activity, after the announcement by Emmanuel Macron, dated November 9, conditioning the extension of the validity of the health pass to the injection of a third dose, for people over 65. In Montreuil, for example, 900 vaccinations were carried out last week, compared to an average of 760 throughout the month of October.

In Saint-Denis, the barnum installed in front of the University of Paris VIII, just after the closure of the Stade de France vaccinodrome, continues to welcome a hundred candidates for vaccination every day. “The activity was boosted a little by Macron’s announcements but there was no explosion, comments Saint-Denis health assistant (PS), Katy Bontinck. There are more offers than requests in the city. Operators could vaccinate two to three times more each day, without any worries. »

Centers in the south of the department closed

The departmental council, for its part, has set up several devices to “go towards” the populations, in order to carry out the third doses. From November 24 to December 10, mobile teams will travel to Bondy, L’Ile-Saint-Denis, Gournay, Pierrefitte, Villepinte and Villemomble to vaccinate registered residents, via town halls.

“These are more agile teams and more adapted to the target audience, we tell the department. There is in particular an issue of comfort in this winter period and this device allows an indoor reception. Unlike the vaccination bus, which stopped running before the All Saints holidays.

In Neuilly-sur-Marne, the municipality is considering the creation of “vaccination rooms”, which would be made available to private doctors. “All the centers in the south of the department have been closed, a large sector is no longer covered, regrets the mayor (DVD) Zartoshte Bakhtiari. People are still coming to access the center and we have to direct them to Champigny (Editor’s note: in the Val-de-Marne) or Chelles (Seine et Marne). According to him, these common rooms would facilitate the logistics of health professionals.

The vaccination rate in Seine-Saint-Denis is 61.8%, compared to 71.3% in the whole of Île-de-France.

Centers: Aubervilliers, Aulnay, Bobigny, Bondy (2 with the hospital), Clichy, Le Blanc-Mesnil, Livry-Gargan, Le Raincy-Montfermeil (in Montfermeil), Montreuil (2 with the hospital), Saint-Denis (CH and University), Saint-Ouen, Sevran (CH and Red Cross), Sains.
