It will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a break between 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. our time. The tests are broadcast by F1 TV Pro.

10:03: An impatient Alonso is already on the pit wall. AMR23 will take over in the afternoon.
10:02: Looks like some problems at McLaren. Piastri has completed 25 laps so far and is in the pits.
9:40: As far as we could see, Leclerc set the time on C4, Russell on the (softest) C5.
9:37: Leclerc pushes the time down – fastest time in all sectors and 1:31.024
9:29: Aston Martin is changing the front wing.
9:28: Leclerc took the lead on C4 – 1:31.164.
9:19: Interview with Cunoda…
9:06: Leclerc moves into second place. Russell on the C5 improved the time to 1:31.564.
8:53 a.m.: Russell put on the C4 and ran a 1:31.707.
8.42am: Ouch… first major rider error in testing – Piastri finished in the clock.
8:37: Frédéric Vasseur for Sky: “So far so good. Testing is always intense, but that’s okay. It’s hard to have a clear picture because we don’t see how others are doing, but let’s say we have room for improvement.”
8:35: Leclerc back on track after DRS problems.
8:34: Will Buxton says Lance Stroll will be working on the simulator this weekend to see how his wrists are doing before the first race.
8:28: Russell took over. He beat the Hulk by 5 thousandths of a second.
8:15: Still in the lead is Hülkenberg (1:33.690).
8:10: We continue… but we probably won’t see Leclerc on the track. Looks like the team is fixing the DRS issues.
8:09 a.m.: There is debris on the track. Red Bull lost a sensor. It’s already in the pits, debris cleared.
8:08am: red flags… and something tells us this won’t be an FIA test.
8:05: Everyone has already been or is on the track.
8:03: There is also a Ferrari on the track… and speaking of the SF23. Anthony Davidson on Sky Sports F1: “I think Ferrari are hiding something. I suspect the car is much faster than we’ve seen so far.’
8:01: He tried Drugovich, Bottas to Piastri.

7:50: The most laps so far have been driven by Williams – 303. Alpine has the fewest – 221.
7:48: It was/is rather foggy in the morning in Bahrain… but we have no information that this should affect the start of testing in any way.
