WhatsApp is the largest instant messaging application and the most used in Spain, which is why its developers are constantly working on updates that make the experience of its use better and better.
The latest updates are those referring to the images, videos and messages that can only be viewed once or the WhatsApp Web Multi-device. However, the innovation does not stop there and the company is working on a new update that aims to inform users, as well as increase security.
It is the third blue check, which would be added to the two already existing. A single check means that the message has been sent, but has not been received. When a double check appears in gray, it means that the receiver has received the message, but has not read it. The moment the blue double check appears, it will mean that the person to whom that message has been sent has finally read it. However, this option can be disabled for those users who do not want it to be known that they have read the messages.
What does the third blue check mean and when will it appear?
The new WhatsApp tool proposes three blue checks that would appear at the moment in which someone made a screenshot with one of our messages sent. If someone makes a capture of a group chat, all members will be notified of what has happened, according to Infobae.
As the portal says, the goal is have more control over privacy, avoid cyber risks and make users aware that they should not send personal information through the application.
This new option has not yet been confirmed by WhatsApp, so it is not known when it will appear or if it will finally do so. In any case, it has always been warned that personal data, credit card numbers or banking information should not be sent, even to trusted people, through the messaging application that, although it offers encrypted conversations, is not exempt of fraudulent uses.
