The third annual ice sculpture show happens today on Governors Island.
The public can see live chainsaw ice carving by artists who transform blocks of ice into unique works of art.
Visitors can vote for their favorite sculpture for the “Public Award” at the end of the event.
A larger version of the winning sculpture will be built and installed in Times Square.
The annual Valentine’s Day events will be held here, where New Yorkers and visitors alike will celebrate love through surprise proposals, weddings, and a vow renewal ceremony on the iconic red bleachers of Times Square.
The ice sculpture show begins at noon on Colonels Row on Governors Island.
