She is perhaps the youngest flag bearer of the Thionvillois territory. Wendy Thiaville is 9 years old. She lives in Altroff, between Bettelainville and Aboncourt, and studies at the Luttange school where she will return to CM1 next year.

In Thionville, Wendy held the march throughout the parade, from Place Malraux to the banks of the Moselle, under a blazing sun. “We had told her that she could stop in class,” says her uncle Alexandre. She did not want. Of a reserved nature, Wendy admits only that “carrying the flag is a source of pride”, and that she is happy with the encouragement of her mistress. She has already chosen the date of November 11, 2022.
