Thionville Unity: Community Leaders Rally Against Urban Violence

In Thionville, more than two hundred people gathered in front of the town hall at noon to support local elected officials in the aftermath of a weekend of urban violence.

Pierre Cuny, mayor, had very harsh words to describe the behavior of the rioters. At his side, the elected representatives of the sectors joined forces. Clémence Pouget, mayor of Yutz, Bernard Guirkinger and Jean Zordan, vice-presidents of the Community of communes of the Moselle arc (CCAM), the deputy Isabelle Rauch and the senator Jean-Marie Mizzon spoke.

All wanted to recall the unconditional values of the Republic. A Marseillaise punctuated this moment of societal communion.
