While a large majority of students returned to their family home upon the announcement of the closure of schools for four weeks, the children of staff essential to the management of the health crisis in Thionville and Manom continue to be welcomed in Les Coquelicots primary school. The reception center, which has 33 registered, takes care of 25 pupils per day (in rotation) – ten pupils in elementary and fifteen in nursery school – supervised by volunteer teachers, three Atsem and four extracurricular animators.

“The school is spacious, functional, suitable for working in small groups. Bringing them together in the same establishment allows qualitative work so that this school time (and extra-curricular) allows the child to recharge his batteries, far from the daily problems of parents ”, explains Emmanuel Bertin, deputy mayor. Delegate for School Affairs.
