DELI MEAT
The framework. Formerly the Flintstones, the Deli Meat was born in 2014 under the paw of Gaylord Jerome. Nestled in the gourmet courtyard of Mersch, in the city center, this restaurant is especially famous for its pierrades and its meat cooked on the grill. The establishment, seated on a total area of 130 m² with a new kitchen, has 38 seats inside and a 30-seat terrace.
A word from the boss. “This sale has nothing to do with the Covid,” says Gaylord Jerome. Deli Meat has been on the market for just under two years. This sale would be part of a long-established strategy: “My objective has always been to hold out for five years. There we are. The restaurant is running well, the numbers are constantly changing. I want to evolve on a personal level with a project in Luxembourg. “Before the start of the pandemic, the restaurateur had had a few touches,” which did not give anything. ” He admits: “It’s complicated to sell, even though the business is turning and is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Thionville. “To speed up the process, it has already lowered its price:” Basically, I was asking € 140,000, which is in line with turnover… But in Thionville, it’s complicated. The city is being killed by shopping malls. “And to specify:” We are on sale but we are continuing the activity. We will resume service as soon as the public authorities authorize it ”

I WILL STAY
The framework. An institution in downtown Thionville. Located rue de l’Ancien-Hôpital, this restaurant serving refined French cuisine has been run since 2004 by Jean and Bruno. The establishment has 36 seats indoors, 20 seats on the terrace in summer and a large room above the restaurant.
A word from the boss. “Our numbers are very good. We did not empty once until the second confinement, on October 28. Why then sell such a healthy business? ” It’s a lifestyle choice. Quite simply, we want to live in the South-West “, reveals Bruno who is currently staying in his little corner of paradise while awaiting the effective reopening of the restaurant:” Click and collect is not for us. Our cuisine does not lend itself to this, ”he explains. Three years already, that he hopes to sell his Ti’Resto. A relatively long delay that he accepts with philosophy: “It’s complicated to sell business assets in Thionville. We may also have been here too long. The classic pattern here is to run a business for 6, 7 years and sell it. We, it’s been 17 years … But hey, it will come when it comes. In the meantime, we will continue to do well with our customers. ”
