Thionville. JazzPote: program change

Scheduled to open the JazzPote festival, the Bex / Romano / Catherine trio will be replaced (for health reasons) by Emmanuel Bex’s Bex’tet. Emmanuel Bex is therefore the ultimate survivor of the initial training and will be in Thionville, at the Théâtre en Bois, on Thursday. Author of a dozen albums as a leader and a dozen others as a co-leader, this jazz musician was awarded the Django Reinhardt Prize in 1995 and won the Victoires du Jazz in 2002 with his trio BFG.

A trio to discover

For this production called Bex’tet, Emmanuel Bex (Hammond organ, keytar, accordion) chose the trio formula with Antonin Fresson (electric and acoustic guitars) and his son Tristan Bex (drums, cajon). It is a program associating the old and the modern, American culture and French heritage, the binary and the ternary, the black and the white which is to be discovered. At the end of 2020, the group released the album Round rock. As for the other concerts, they are currently maintained.
