Throughout this school year, around fifteen students from the theater option at the Lycée de la Briquerie potashed on a show composed from texts by Molière, the 400th year of his birth obliges. This Wednesday, they have already given two performances of their show at the small hall of the municipal theater of Thionville, first in the morning for schoolchildren then at 8 p.m. for the general public. Entitled “Who are we kidding? », the performance, directed by Rémi Barbier, of the Nihilo Nihil company, brings together excerpts from plays such as Tartuffe Women’s school , The doctor despite Himself or even The imaginary patient. Admission will still be free this evening but the performance of these high school actors is not entirely innocent: it could indeed bring them extra points for the baccalaureate. “The theater option concerns students from second to final year who are graded in continuous assessment and where theory and practice are judged in equal parts”, nuance the referent teacher of the Briquerie, Laurence Lecler. Several students have already done theatre, like Maxime who is in his eighth year and who would like to do castings soon. “Finally as soon as I get the permit. » Chloé, if she has already completed two years of lessons, admits having mainly registered for the theater option to « earn points in the baccalaureate and… make new friends ». The brothers Simon and Boris praise for their part the “fluency in speaking” that this discipline offers them. Also note the presence among the actors of Paul, a pupil suffering from deafness and who occupies his place in a natural way and in his own right within the troop.
