“Thionville Club to Host Regional Tennis Championships as Grand Est League Entrusts Clubs Once Again”

While for the past few years, the courts of the Ligue Sud center in Villers-les-Nancy have hosted the regional final stages of the senior individual championships, the Grand Est League has decided to entrust this organization to clubs once again. It must be said that the state of the clay courts of the League had caused a lot of disappointment last year, forcing the referee of the Criterium to repatriate everyone indoors. It is therefore the Thionville club which has volunteered to host the elite of regional tennis this weekend.

In the queen category of the Criterium, the Forbachois Boris Fassbender, now n°97, will be in the running to defend his crown. The Moselle is the favorite in an event where his most serious opponents are Antoine Vincent (-4/6, ASPTT Metz), Arthur Nagel (-4/6, Strasbourg), Hugo Schott (-4/6, Sarreguemines) and Antoine Monaco (-4/6, Thionville), regulars in the last regional square.

The women’s table is just as high with no less than ten negative players including Elise Renard (-15, Cormontreuil). The Champenoise is accompanied by five opponents classified -4/6.
