We could fear that the project to relocate the Ambroise-Paré clinic, placed on the table in the urban area in 2018, would never see the light of day. At that time, the Louis-Pasteur group’s ambitions for its private establishment were justified by the constrained nature of its premises located on route de Guentrange, in Thionville. The stated ambition: to start afresh by investing in the Zac Espace Meilbourg. Three years, therefore, that the file was no longer talking about him. But behind the scenes, he was moving forward. And it is materialized today by an additional need for useful floor space. This new sketch increases the total acquisition of 33,000 m² at 43,000 m² of land. This 10,000 m overweight gain² is justified, in particular, by the creation of a large medical center and by the desire to provide the site with more parking spaces.

In the case, the total sale of this land for the benefit of SAS Pasteur Immobilier will bring in € 4.2 million to the agglomeration: “A nice sum that goes into regional planning”, rejoices Pierre Cuny. From words to deeds… sales. Following on from the presentation of the future Ambroise-Paré clinic, the community assembly decided on the creation of a medical center on Zac Meilbourg. Of the three sites intended for healthcare professionals, two have already found a taker. In detail, a hand surgery center will be built on the first right-of-way. The second large-scale project provides for the construction of an orthopedic center, medical equipment, hearing aids, parapharmacy as well as cells rented to health professionals. “The third land is in the process of being marketed”, we inform the agglomeration. Bodes well for this healthy Zac.
