ThinkPads Made from Recycled Materials: Z13 and Z16 from Lenovo

Solopos.com, JAKARTA-Lenovo officially introduces the latest ThinkPad series, namely the Z13 and Z16 with a new look and using recycled materials.

“When we launched this product, we focused on sustainability. How can we reduce the impact of our products on the environment? But without compromising the functionality of our own products. By using recycled materials, the product is claimed to be durable and anti-stain. The product uses 75 percent recycled aluminum. The ThinkPad Z series is built with arctic gray, black, recycled aluminum, and comes in black, vegan, recycled leather.

These sustainability efforts extend to forms of packaging made from 100 percent recyclable and compostable bamboo and sugarcane, as well as AC power adapters that use 90 percent Post-Consumer Content (PCC).

Meanwhile, celebrity and environmental activist Hamish Daud who was also present at the launch of the Lenovo ThinkPad Z Series revealed that with the presence of products like this, people can better understand the concept of recycling.

“So exciting to see that Lenovo is already in that direction [keberlanjutan] Now. Sustainable living, recycling, this is still quite new for society. Not only are designs that use recycling, the ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 are also powered by the Next-Gen AMD Ryzen PRO Processors for mobile and will feature Microsoft Pluton security processors for robust security from chip to cloud on Windows 11 PCs.

The Microsoft Pluton security processor was designed and updated by Microsoft and powers new Windows 11 PCs with protection for user identity, data and applications.

Not only that, the ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 will also be one of the first laptops powered by the AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processor.

In the security sector, these two laptops are equipped with a fingerprint reader and Microsoft Pluton Discrete TPM 2.0 processor which will provide users with maximum security.

Building on AMD PRO’s layered security approach, the AMD Ryzen 6000 Series is the first x86 processor to integrate Microsoft’s Pluton security processor for maximum security from chip to cloud on Windows 11 PCs.

Microsoft Pluton Security Processors are designed and updated by Microsoft. These processors power new Windows 11 PCs with protection for user identities, data, and applications.

Additionally, Lenovo and AMD have collaborated to deliver a state-of-the-art platform design, streamlining all aspects of the system from silicon to hardware and software.

The ThinkPad Z13, is powered by the exclusive AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6860Z processor. This processor is optimized to deliver smooth, quality audio and video performance, maximize responsiveness, and provide great battery life when using apps like Teams and Zoom.

Meanwhile, the ThinkPad Z16 can also be configured with the new AMD Radeon RX6500M with AMD’s smart technologies that will increase productivity, perfect for content creators, and for gaming.

When paired with Ryzen processors, AMD SmartShift Max will offer increased power for the CPU and GPU, and SmartShift Eco is designed to maximize battery efficiency.

ThinkPad Z16 is equipped with up to 32GB RAM memory and up to 2TB SSD storage capacity. As for the ThinkPad Z13 itself, this laptop will be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM memory and a storage capacity of up to 1TB SSD.
