The number of children to adolescents in DKI Jakarta who are exposed Corona keep growing. Out of 5,582 cases Corona today, hundreds of them target the age of children.
Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktavia in his statement explained that there were 655 cases Corona at the age of 6 to 18 years. Then, 244 cases of Corona were found in toddlers.
Meanwhile, 4,261 confirmed cases of Corona are from 19-59 years old. Then there are 442 cases in the age of 60 years and over.
“For this reason, we remind residents to avoid leaving their homes with children,” Dwi said in his statement, Sunday (20/6/2021).
The distribution of 5,582 positive cases of Corona today, namely the Thousand Islands 7 cases, West Jakarta 1,220 cases, Central Jakarta 669 cases, South Jakarta 1,082 cases, East Jakarta 1,562 cases, and North Jakarta 1,042 cases. Cengkareng District is the area with the most active Corona cases, which is 238 cases. Then, followed by Penjaringan (208 cases), Tanjung Priok (206 cases), and Cilincing (202 cases).
“The WHO target for PCR testing is 1,000 people per million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. Meanwhile, the total number of PCR tests in DKI Jakarta has now reached 396,394 per million population,” he explained.
The number of active cases in Jakarta has reached 30,142, bringing the total number of Corona cases in Jakarta to 474,029. A total of 435,982 (92%) were declared cured and 7,905 (1.7%) died.
