Region – The number of corona patients in Saint Francis is decreasing. There are currently eight corona patients in intensive care.
“There are thirteen corona patients in the hospital in the Gasthuis and six in Vlietland. This brings us to a total of 27 corona infected patients. Yesterday morning there were ten suspicions in the clinic,” said a hospital spokesman.
When the corona care is scaled down, the IC beds have now been removed from the cohort and the nursing takes place in isolation boxes. The OR capacity is further scaled up on a weekly basis. The flow of regular patients is increasing daily. Clinical nursing of corona patients takes place in isolation rooms and in small cohort departments, by isolating a number of beds from the rest of the regular beds.
Preventive testing
It has been decided to stop the preventive testing of patients upon admission to the clinic. The reason for this is the decrease in the number of infections in the country and the limited number of infections that are still detected by these preventive tests.
