Thieves steal bag from sleeping woman (72), alert train passenger pulls emergency brake | Inland

“The witness saw that two men were suspiciously in the compartment in front of her. One of them quickly grabbed a bag from the chair next to a sleeping woman,” police said.

The woman decided to take immediate action. She woke the 72-year-old victim and pulled the emergency brake. Then she told the conductor what she had seen.

The men were approached by NS employees. One of them then took the stolen bag from his backpack. At the station in Tilburg, the two suspects (aged 22 and 28) were handed over to the police by NS staff. The criminal duo is incarcerated.
