Thierry Baudet was a model in gay magazine: ‘I was totally unsuitable for it’ | Stars

entertainment">In the last PodBast of this season, Bastiaan Meijer confronts the politician with his modeling past. “Yes, how do you know that?” Baudet says while he takes a sip. “I’m glad you found that. I worked as a fashion model for a year and a half. I actually like that… I’ve never done that so… much more.”

entertainment">Baudet has no active memory of the name of the magazine, however. “I have been in several gay magazines. What was that magazine called again? Cappuccino? Espresso? (…) I’ve also done things for G-Star and for Nike.”

‘Looking angry’

entertainment">Baudet – who in the recent past posed on both a piano and naked at the pool during his holiday – was also seen on the catwalk. “I’ve been to a few shows. But I was totally unfit for it, by the way. First, because I found it deadly tiring to stand for a day. Second, because I think I have a much too big personality.

entertainment">Such a director would say: ‘You must look angry’, but at that moment I felt extremely happy. I found that very difficult. Maybe you can learn that. But I don’t think a great model has been lost in me.”

expresso

entertainment">In the RTL 4 program Van der Vorst sees stars the subject was also briefly discussed four years ago, although Baudet clearly had little desire to talk about it. Seeing a photo, he says: “I was a fashion model for a while, by accident, but I’m going to get rid of it.”

entertainment">By the way, Baudet is probably referring to expresso, a magazine that was founded in 1988 and is made by and for young LGBT+ people. The magazine has been published completely digitally since 2014. expresso was not available on Saturday afternoon to verify Baudet’s possible modeling career at the magazine.
