There was an FVD meeting in Arnhem tonight, but the event was brutally disrupted when it appeared that the safety of Thierry Baudet and Theo Hiddema was possibly at stake. An ‘unknown security incident’ as yet described has shaken up the event.
What exactly happened at the FVD meeting is still unknown, but there would have been “information about a situation that could possibly be threatening to Thierry Baudet and Theo Hiddema.” For that reason, security has decided that both Baudet and Hiddema have left the room as a precaution.

A spokesperson for FVD tells De Daily Standaard:
“There was information about a situation that could be potentially threatening to Thierry Baudet and Theo Hiddema. That is why they left the room as a precaution on the advice of our security. ”
According to the spokesperson, the public present has not been in danger at any time. He does state, “We are grateful for our excellent security team and we are going with full power through to March 17.
Update: Meanwhile, ‘the danger’ seems to have passed and Thierry Baudet has climbed the podium again. But please let us be vigilant, because a threat against a politician is simply not possible, but unfortunately we in the Netherlands also know very well what certain threats can entail …
