A lot of hashish was supposed to change hands in Thierhaupten. Upon delivery, the dealer is knocked down and robbed. Because the man went to the police, the case now ends up in court.

Usually drug dealers prefer to run their business without them
police. In this case it is different. A dealer from the northern county unpacked because he was robbed while handing over drugs. It’s about half a kilo of hashish that was supposed to change hands on an evening in December 2019. The handover did not go according to plan. Now the case ended up in court.
The dealer, who recently received a suspended sentence himself, was in this one
process the 25 year old victim. The man made an appointment with a 23-year-old on the Messenger Snapchat. The handover should then take place in the parking lot of a discounter one evening in December 2019. The victim waited there until a small red car finally drove up. “Then everything happened very quickly,” the dealer recalled in court. Three men suddenly attacked him, hit him and him
Drugs, half a kilo of hashish worth around 3600 euros. Then the three got into the red car and drove away.
Dealer goes to the police and incriminates himself
The injured party bought the drugs on commission from another dealer. But because they were stolen from him, the man could not pay this. “The guy threatened me and my family. He wanted his money,” said the aggrieved dealer in court. “It was getting worse and worse.” At some point it was apparently so bad that he decided to clean it up. He found a place for drug therapy, gave up dealing and volunteered to the police.
During interrogation, the defendant was shown photos of men who may have robbed him. One looked familiar to the 25-year-old. It was the 23-year-old who was now on trial. The police could not locate the two other perpetrators who are said to have been involved in the robbery. The defendant from the northern district, who has recently been in custody, is already well known to the court. Only last year he was sentenced to imprisonment for drug trafficking and dangerous bodily harm. There are further criminal records for driving without a license, insulting, forgery and theft.
Drugs: Defendant does not want to speak in court
In the recent past, the north of the Augsburg district has repeatedly come into focus for drug offenses. According to the police, chemical drugs are a particular problem in the northern district. Another suspected dealer from the area will soon be on trial for allegedly selling lethal chemical drugs to teenagers in Nordendorf.
During the trial, the evidence against the defendant was reinforced. The victim testified again and incriminated him heavily. There were no other witnesses to the incident. A witness, with whose car the accused and two others are said to have fled, also had to testify. Whether this man is one of the two other perpetrators remains to be clarified. “In any case, she expects a preliminary investigation,” said Judge Andreas Endres to the witness after the interrogation.
Again and again, defense attorney Wolfgang Polster had the hearing interrupted to talk to the defendant. But even after the breaks in negotiations, the 23-year-old did not want to comment on the matter. From the point of view of public prosecutor Konstatin Huber, there was still no doubt about the fact. He relied on the victim’s testimony. “Why should the victim lie?” Asked Huber. There is no reason for that. After all, he does not know the defendant personally. In addition, there is the fact that the name of the accused matches the account on Snapchat that was used to set up the meeting point for the drug deal. The prosecutor called for three years in prison. On the other hand, defender Wolfgang Polster pleaded for acquittal.
Three years in prison for the 23-year-old defendant
But Judge Endres and his two lay judges saw no doubt about the young man’s guilt. “There aren’t that many coincidences,” the judge clarified. The victim’s statement, the name on Snapchat, the criminal record, the man’s place of residence – all of this gives a clear picture. “You are a violent criminal,” says Judge Endres to the silent accused. “You don’t mind what happens to others.” The young man was eventually sentenced to three years in prison for robbery, drug trafficking and driving without a license. An appeal can still be lodged against the judgment.
