The shooting, which began on November 24, was completed in fifteen consecutive days on nights only. The shooting was done only at night to maintain the dark mode of the film throughout the plot. Director Santo Anthikkad said that this is the first time in India that a film has been shot overnight.

Remya Panicker, who has acted in films like Chunks and Porinchu Mariam Jose, will play the lead role in Choran. The location pictures of the thief shared by Remya on social media were already viral.

Angamaly Diaries fame Sinoj Varghese plays another important role in Choran. Choran is another film in which Remya and Sinoj act together after Porinchu Mariam Jose. Sinoj said it was challenging as an actor to have only shot for 15 consecutive nights.
