Thief Armedly Steals $8,000 in Jewelry from Bronx Business – NBC New York

Authorities are looking for the suspect in the armed robbery of a jewelry store in the Bronx, the New York City Police announced.

The robbery was reported on Saturday, May 7, at about 6:30 pm, when the alleged thief entered the jewelry store. E.H Jewerly Inc., at 2865 3rd Avenue, and approached the 63-year-old clerk while pretending he was shopping for merchandise, police said.

It was at that moment that the suspect overtook the area where the employee was, took out a firearm and began to steal the jewelry valued at about $8,000 and $1,000 in cash before fleeing, the uniformed officer added.

The employee was not injured.

The individual is described as a male of average build, slim build, black hair and facial hair, last seen wearing a black winter hat, a black mask, a black hooded jacket with “Protocol’s Candy Shop” written on the back, gray pants with black on the front, and black and gray sneakers.
