Thiago Silva Injured by Sergio Ramos Transfer to PSG

Paris St. Germain recruit Sergio Ramos on a two year contract. The transfer makes Thiago Silva feel hurt. Why?

Thiago Silva spent eight seasons at PSG before being released on a free last summer. During that time, he won 23 trophies including seven Ligue 1 titles. In addition, Thiago Silva had led Les Parisiens to the first Champions League final in the club’s history.

After that, the Brazil international defender joined Chelsea and helped the club win the Champions League.

Nevertheless, Thiago Silva felt underappreciated after PSG chose not to keep him. The reason is, PSG is now actually bringing in Sergio Ramos with a long contract. Even though Ramos is now 35 years old, the same age as Thiago Silva when he was released by PSG.

“I am not against it Sergio Ramos, but Sergio, at the time when they offered him a two-year contract, he was the same age as me last year,” Silva told reporters. ESPN, reported Mirror. “So that makes me really sad.”

“I haven’t talked about this to anyone because it makes me very sad because I feel like I’ve never done anything for the club. My leaving is definitely like a new chapter, but at the same time I’m thinking a lot about it, really reflecting on everything that’s happened.”

“I think something else could have been done because instead of spending my career at PSG for eight days or eight months, it was eight years full of wins, a lot of work to change and put PSG to where it is now.”

“I want to PSG I won because the club deserves all the respect. But considering everything that happened, I have this sad feeling and I feel that it could have been done differently.” Thiago Silva.
